This year 656 eligible submissions across multiple film categories including student films were received. Of these submissions, 64 are homegrown productions, reflecting the continued growth, diversity and creative progress of the Namibian film industry.
Following the rigorous and highly competitive selection process, 159 films were selected for screening. The final programme showcases films from Botswana, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria, Senegal, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco, offering audiences a rich and engaging cross-regional African storytelling, techniques and creative perspectives.
The Film Week takes place 12-15 March 2026 at the Namibia University of Science and Technology, Windhoek.
